Have you ever heard of three mountains tacked on top of one another. Mt. Fuji is a volcano in Tokyo, Japan. Mt. Fuji is a very astonishing work of nature. Mt. Fuji is a very weird geographical landmark which also has a rich history.
Many people choose to climb Mt. Fuji. Each year more than 300,000 people choose to make the journey to the top. The first person to unofficially climb it was an anonymous monk in 663. It was forbidden for women to climb it until 1912.
The geography of Mt Fuji is awesome. There are five lakes surrounding the base of Mt. Fuji.
The shifting of plates is the reason Mt. Fuji exists. It is an extremely tall cone shaped mountain.
Mt. Fuji is really just Three different mountains stacked one on top of the other. The bottom is kamitake, next is kofuji, then ,the youngest, Mt. Fuji.
Mt. Fuji has a long history. It is believed to be over 100,000 years old. Some people in worship the mountain. It was named after the Buddhist God of fire "Fuchi".
