Hosp Elementary, Frisco, Texas
JOIN US AT THE WINTER PARTY
We hope to see many parents at the fun Polar Express party planned by our room moms! We begin the fun at 1:50 p.m. Friday in the fourth-grade rooms. See you soon!
In Writer's Workshop we've been working on adding voice -- our unique style -- to our personal narratives. One way to sharpen voice is to be choosy about words, selecting the most precise, most powerful words. How many ways, for example, can you write "say"? How many ways can you write "went"? Check out our lists and add to them at home!
HOSP CHOIR ON TOUR
Hosp choir sings at the Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation.
Fourth- and fifth-graders sing for residents of Sunrise of Frisco.
Choir kids celebrate the end of a successful morning, spreading cheer to senior citizens at three facilities, including Rambling Oaks Courtyard.
GINGERBREAD PALS FROM ACROSS THE U.S.
MATH RESOURCES AVAILABLE
Parents and students are encouraged to visit the Frisco ISD math website for video resources in support of math cluster 3 (covering adding and subtracting decimals). Click here for access to the videos, and, as always, please contact Mrs. Garcia or Mrs. Gilmour with questions regarding math curriculum.

Please help your child choose morning snacks that are conducive to eating and working at the same time. We kindly request that students bring only one snack for the morning and that it be simple to eat while reading, writing and working. We have so much learn in fourth grade! Thank you in advance for your help!
ACCESS TO THE STUDENT LEARNING HUB
The Student Learning Hub offers links to curriculum-related resources. For example, you can view state standards for all subjects; characteristics of reading genres; and videos that explain how math concepts are taught in the district. Your child's homeroom teacher has already sent a click sheet that walks you through the login process. Please let us know if you have questions.
