His first rule is to create a program for oneself and stick to it. You can create the program yourself or ask your personal trainer to do it for you. You should know what exercise and the number of sets and reps per set that you need to do, when you step into the gym. As a beginner, you need to start with only 3 or 4 workouts each week.
