Our New Assistant Principal

I am happy to share with you who our new assistant principal will be next year. Her name is Brenda Sweeney. She is currently the counselor at Mossman Elementary. Before that, she was a G/T and classroom teacher at Gilmore Elementary. I had the privilege of teaching with her at Gilmore. I am so excited that she will be joining us in next year. Please be sure to say bye to Mrs. Saunders and thank her for all she has done during her four years at NPE.

Teacher Appreciation Week May 7-11

Here's your opportunity to show the staff of NPE just how much you LOVE them!

Monday-Please bring a flower for your teacher. You may bring extra for any other staff members(block, paras, etc.)

Tuesday-Have your student make a card for their teacher telling them how much they appreciate their teachers.

The rest of the week is up to you. Some ideas to help you are as follows:

-provide coffee, bagels, or other treat one morning

-Parents email a note of thanks during the week

-Give a small basket containing items your teacher is always in need of (Sharpies, dry erase markers, paper clips, post-it notes, etc)

-Gift cards from Barnes and Noble, Starbucks, Lakeshore or your teacher's favorite places

Thanks so much for showing our teachers and staff just how much they are appreciated and for making this a VERY SPECIAL week!
