HYBRID LEARNING RESUMES JAN 5-8
As we begin our Winter Break, we wanted to take the opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, and Happy Holidays. No matter how you celebrate, I hope your celebrations are safe and happy ones.
Looking forward to January, students will return with hybrid learning in place January 5-8. Since we return on a Tuesday, students whose last names are A- L will meet on Tuesday and Thursday. Students whose last names are M-Z will meet on Wednesday and Friday. This will ensure that all students receive in-person instruction two days of the week. Wednesday, will be a one-hour early release. Our full schedule with students meeting five days a week will resume on Monday, January 11.
Please pay close attention to the schedule below so you know which days your child comes to school.
- Tuesday (1/5) and Thursday (1/7) - Last name A-L
- Wednesday (1/6) and Friday (1/8) - Last name M-Z
Please read these Frequently Asked Questions for key information, Should you have any other questions not addressed in the FAQ, please reach out to your school directly.
How to report attendance when in Hybrid
While we are in Hybrid Learning, it is important to log-into Buzz on the days your child isn’t on campus to report their attendance; otherwise, parents will receive an email and/or phone call from their school’s attendance specialist to verify if they have been working on any school-related work that day.
FREE Meal Pickup During Hybrid
Curbside meals will be offered at Gilbert Public Schools elementary school locations only. Student's do not need to be present. You may pick up one free breakfast and one free lunch per child, Monday–Friday from 7:00 am–9:00 am, on the days they are not attending in-person school. Just pick up and go.
NOTE: Children at school sites will be offered free breakfast and lunch according to their normal meal times. The USDA has extended free meals to all children 18 years and younger throughout the 2020-21 school year. No meals will be offered over winter break.

What Does It Mean To Be A Title I School?
Title I is the largest federal aid program for public schools. Schools can be designated as “Title I” if certain criteria are met. Title I is the federal government’s commitment to closing the achievement gap between low-income and moderate to high income students.
