Congratulations to LCMS!
Lindero Canyon Middle School has been re-designated as a Schools to Watch Taking Center Stage school. Lindero Canyon will join 33 other previously chosen schools whose commitment to continued progress and achievement allows them to retain their Schools to Watch designation. LCMS was recognized at the Schools to Watch Taking Center Stage state awards presentation in Sacramento this past week.
Lindero Canyon Middle School Principal Eric Anhalt expressed his gratitude to his staff, “I am proud to share with you that your dedication and hard work have been recognized by the State Superintendent of Education, Tony Thurmond. Well done. I am so proud to work alongside you all!”
DREAM BIG AND HOLD ON: Wilson Phillips in Concert with LVUSD Students
The Las Virgenes Unified School District is happy to announce that its sixth annual performance to benefit its Performing Arts programs will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019, at the luxurious 650 seat, state of the art Performing Arts Education Center on the campus of Calabasas High School.
This amazing concert will feature the iconic American vocal group, Wilson Phillips live in concert performing some of their biggest, chart topping hits like “Hold On,” “Release Me,” and “You’re In Love." Building on the idea of realizing your dreams, the Wilson Phillips opening acts will include Calabasas High School’s very own a cappella sensation, Unstrumental, fresh from their performance at New York City’s Carnegie Hall, the CHS a cappella group Bare Rhythm, the CHS String Ensemble, as well as a highly talented selection of the District’s elementary, middle, and high school students.
Tickets for this wonderful event are available online at www.thePAECs.org and also during regular Performing Arts Education Center Box Office hours, Monday thru Friday from 2 to 4pm, at our Agoura Hills location.

Coming April 1st: Angst Documentary
We have close to 400 tickets already claimed for the Angst documentary on April 1, 2019 at 6:00 PM at the Calabasas Performing Arts Center! Angst is a documentary designed to raise awareness and normalize conversations around anxiety. The film includes interviews with kids, teens, educators, experts, parents and a very special interview with Michael Phelps.
The goal of the film specifically is to help people identify and understand the symptoms of anxiety and encourage them to reach out for help. Angst screens in schools, communities and theaters around the world. The film and corresponding materials provide tools, resources and above all, hope.
