School Safety: See something??? Say Something!!!

Keeping the students and staff of ALHS safe is always the top priority. Learning cannot happen when individuals do not feel welcome and safe in their environment. We have made great improvements in the hallways with "Operation Be On Time," but because a safe and orderly learning environment is always the main priority, we will be adding another layer of security beginning on Tuesday, January 17.

The "See Something??? Say Something!!!" campaign will give students a chance to anonymously report any issue they see or hear to immediately notify school administration. There will be QR codes around the building that students can simply scan with a phone camera that will allow them to send a text message to the administrative team. This is modeled after similar programs in stadiums, airports, and other public venues where attendees can help promote a safe environment for all.

If you would like your student to enter the number to have in case they like to report something, they can preload the number. The number is 507-320-1772. Standard text messaging charges will apply when using the number for those without unlimited messaging. The number will also accept calls so people can leave a voicemail for the administrative team.

Together, we can make sure ALHS remain a safe and orderly learning environment for our students, staff and families. And remember:

See Something??? Say Something!!!

Quarter 3 Parent-Teacher Conferences

ALHS teachers will be on site for conferences on Monday, February 6 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. All general education teachers will be in the gymnasium set up at tables. Special education teachers will be in classrooms. A map will be available when families arrive. The best place to park and enter is through the Pool Doors on the north side of the building nearest the large parking lot.

We look forward to welcoming families for this in-person event.
