Be Bold, Get Cold! - Support WE-SIDE Unified
THANK. YOU! Our 2023 WE-SIDE Unified Polar Plunge Team raised more than $4300, more than double last year's total and more than double our goal this year of $2023! 18 Plungers braved the icy waters with more than 35 proud Warriors there to either plunge or support. Funds raised help to support the continued expansion of our WE-SIDE Unified programming including monthly elementary events, secondary-level Unified Teams, and district-wide events like Inclusion Week.

Students in grades Pre-K through 6th are required to have an adult accompany them. Students in grades 7-12 and transition are asked to carefully consider the independence of their student and have an adult accompany if support for their individual success is needed.
What Are Unified Activities?
The Special Olympics Unified Schools Program is a fast-growing initiative that brings together students of all abilities.
As Unified Champion Schools, we partner with Special Olympics Nebraska to implement a three-component strategy focused on Inclusive Sports, Inclusive Youth Leadership, and Whole-School Engagement. These three components bring students with and without intellectual disabilities together to promote a positive school climate, develop physical fitness, prevent bullying, enhance student engagement, and promote student leadership skills.
