The BIG FOUR: Targets for 2017-2018

  • Instructional Technology- New ITLT(Instructional Technology Leadership Team) has been established to better serve teachers with relevant PD opportunities and prepare for our launch of the 1:1 Chromebook roll-out.


  • Personalized Learning - slated as a 1:1 school in 2018


  • Progress Monitoring- New benchmark tool TE-21 to be used by the district, graduation rate monitoring, individualized student monitoring for progression


  • Making Connections- Link Crew beginning this year with the 10th-12th graders mentoring our 9th graders and Wildcat Connections is our weekly advisory session to help build relationships.

August 15- 8:30- Day 1 for ALL Teachers(Agenda Link is above)

August 16- 12:00-3:00- Academy Teacher Meeting at Michelin

August 17-18- Link Crew Orientation for Student Members(Students through-out the building. Mr. Winney has contacted you if your area is used)

August 19- Wildcat Training Day for Academy Teachers and 9th Graders

FREE FOOD THIS WEEK:

August 15- Breakfast (8:30) provided by the PTSA (Please bring your $5 to join the PTSA)

August 16- Ice-cream Social (3:30) provided by Oak Pointe Church (Location will be announced)

August 17- Lunch (12:00 Lunch provided by Horace Mann in the MC

District News:

High School Benchmark Testing:


All high schools will benchmark test with MasteryConnect/TE21 in the following subjects during the 2017-2018 school year:


Algebra I, Biology I, English I, and US History


Benchmarks will be given at the end of each nine weeks.


As teachers plan this summer, it is critical that they follow the Rubicon Atlas Pacing Guide. The benchmark tests are based on the Rubicon Atlas Pacing Guide. The Academics team will release a standards alignment document so that all teachers know which standards are being tested each nine weeks on the benchmarks.
