From the Head of School...

Dear Summit School Community,

Wednesday was our first Enrichment Wednesday of the Summit school year. During Enrichment Wednesdays, Summit School students in grades 1-8 are able to participate in activities that peak their interests, support their academic progress, and challenge their skill levels.

Enrichment Wednesday classes happen on second and fourth Wednesday mornings from 8:15 -9:00. These activities are not graded and are designed to support learning and enrich the educational experience. Some examples of possible Enrichment Wednesday classes include:

  • culinary
  • robotics
  • coding
  • advanced mathematics
  • theater
  • social emotional learning groups
  • reading enrichment
  • Bal-A-Vis-X
  • yoga
  • music enrichment

Enrichment Wednesday student placement is teacher selected and flexible. Depending on the opportunity, students may attend for one Wednesday or for an extended period of time. Offerings will also change throughout the year as some end and others begin.

Enjoy the photos from our first Enrichment Wednesday below. Thank you for being a part of our Summit Community and thank you for all you do.

Good Neighbors

We were contacted by a local community member regarding 46th Street. The community is concerned about drivers during drop off and pick up. Please make sure that you are stopping at the stop sign on Muirwood and 46th, and that we try to avoid blocking traffic for local residents on 46th Street by pulling off to the side of the road while waiting. It is important that the entire Summit School Community works together to be a positive part of Ahwatukee.

After School Enrichment

Hello Summit Community,

Be sure to get your registrations in for our after school programs as soon as possible. Any programs with low enrollment may be cut by the provider. Please complete your registration no later than August 19. You can find the booklet here.

Referral Credits and IBE

I hope this message finds you enjoying your summer break and hopefully staying cool with these toasty temps rising. As we begin to plan for the upcoming school year, we figured it was a great time to remind you of a couple awesome programs that Summit offers.

Yes, we are still offering a $1,000.00 referral tuition credit for each new student (non-sibling of current student) who is referred to Summit for the 2022-23 school year. The credit will be applied to your FACTS account after 2 months. We greatly appreciate your referrals!

Also, if you or someone you know owns or is a decision-maker in an LLC or S-Corp, there are some new, beneficial tax changes (See message below from IBE).

Corporate Donation season is here and there have been some HUGE things happening at IBE. As you may have heard, our very generous S-Corporations could potentially receive a deduction on their Federal tax forms in addition to the State dollar-for-dollar tax credit.

Please check out the following link for more information.

Summit School Community Partnerships

Do you own or have a connection to a local business? Please share.

Dear Community Member,

  • We will reach out to you when we have campus events that you may be interested in for the purpose of sponsorship, table displays, or other connections.

  • We offer you the opportunity to add items or information to our new family welcome bags.

To get started, please complete this form or reach out to Kyle Allen, Director of Admissions and Marketing at In addition, please send your business logo as a .png or .jpg file to the email address above.

No Treats, No Treasures, No Touching

We all love our Summit School tortoises, Chips and Salsa. To make sure they stay happy and healthy, we are carefully monitoring their diet and refreshing their habitat. We ask that our Summit Community members refrain from giving them any extra treats, adding treasures to their habitat, or handling them. Please use just your eyes to admire our special animals.

If you would like to contribute to their care, please consider donating a gift card to help cover the expense of their special diet. If you would like to donate, a gift card can be dropped off in the office, your child's classroom, or sent digitally to Dr. Nardi at

Thank you.
