Spirit Week

Greetings 7th graders!

It is Spirit Week. A group of NCS students, the Teen-to-Teen connection group, have put together a virtual spirit week for this coming week (May 18-22). You might have to wear something other than your joggers and PJs this week! Join the fun!

See the information below about what to wear each day. Send Mrs. Betrus a copy of a picture of you dressed up for next week's newsletter. **Make sure to share it on social media with the #naplescsdvirtualspiritweek #naplescsdclassof2025 hashtags.**

Summary of Admin Updates

  • Memorial Day, Monday, May 25:
    -Students WILL have instructional activities on Friday, May 22.
    -There will be NO scheduled instructional activities on Monday, May 25.
  • End of Year:
    Since we did not have a Spring Break, we believe the end of the school year might be earlier than was previously indicated on our calendar. While we estimate that the year will come to a close during the week of June 15-19.
  • Locker Clean-Out and School Device/Textbook Collection:
    Tentatively set for the week of June 15-19. More information to come.
  • Naples CSD General Board of Education Election Information: The annual District meeting and election has been rescheduled to Tuesday, June 9, 2020 and will be held by Absentee Ballot.

Join the Art Challenge by Mrs. Neubauer: Recreating Famous Artwork!

Right now, art galleries throughout the country are sponsoring this popular challenge to recreate famous pieces of artwork at home. This could be a fun activity for individual students, their families, and maybe even some staff members!

Over the next two weeks, pick out a famous piece of artwork and try to recreate it. Need some ideas? Check out some cool recreations here.

Submit your pictures to Mrs. Betrus (cbetrus@naplescsd.org) and Mrs. Neubauer (mneubauer@naplescsd.org) to be included in a future 7th grade newsletter and as part of the NCS Art Challenge Virtual Show by Friday, May 29th.

Quarantine Hairdos-Spring 2020

We didn't get a lot of submissions this week for the Quarantine hairdos. Thank you to those who did submit.
