VETERANS DAY OBSERVATION
While 2020 has been a year of unbelievable change, one aspect that remains consistent is our appreciation and desire to acknowledge our Veterans. This year we will be doing so virtually.
If you have a Veteran in your family, please send in a picture with a small write up including name, the branch of the military, and any other information you would like to add.
You may send this information by Friday, November 6, via email to Kristin Moffat @ Kristin_Moffat@sudbury.k12.ma.us
We look forward to virtually honoring your Veteran on Veterans Day!
Hope Sudbury Telethon!
HOPEsudbury stands ready to help Sudbury residents during these unprecedented times. The HOPE Fund, our signature program, provides emergency financial support for any Sudbury residents in need. Since 2002, The HOPE Fund has helped hundreds of Sudbury residents and distributed over $700,000. If you are in need of assistance, please reach out the Bethany Hadvab, Sudbury’s Town Social Worker. She can connect you to The HOPE Fund as well as other resources.
Below is our 19th Annual Telethon & Auction Guide which offers a preview for our largest fundraising event and highlights the incredible talent and items our community has offered in support of neighbors in need. Our website, Hopesudbury.org, will be continually updated with information as well. Bid online beginning Nov 6 at 7 PM and tune in to SudburyTV on November 7 from 3-9 PM.
HOPE you can join us and demonstrate what The Power of Community can accomplish!

Guidance for COVID-19 Testing
COVID-19 Travel Order
Sudbury Public Schools is strictly adhering to the COVID-19 Travel Order. We would like to remind parents that the travel order pertains to anyone entering Massachusetts from out-of-State and includes MA residents returning from second homes or weekend trips to any state not considered to be lower-risk.
Massachusetts residents are urged to limit any out-of-State travel only to States designated as COVID-19 lower-risk States.
The current list of COVID-19 lower-risk States includes:
California
Connecticut
District of Columbia
Hawaii
Maine
New Hampshire
New Jersey
New York
Vermont
Washington
*Rhode Island is currently considered a higher-risk State
If you travel for any reason you must follow the mandated guidelines below unless you meet the exemptions for travel listed below.
Exemptions to travel order:
Transitory travel through a State
Travel for work, school, or medical treatment
Military travel requirement
*Any overnight stay in a State considered higher-risk requires a COVID test and quarantine until test results are known.
Children age 10 and younger are not required to be tested but must follow the quarantine requirement of their parent(s)/guardian(s) until test results are known, or if no testing is done, the end of the 14 day quarantine period.
A negative result from an antigen test must be confirmed by a negative result from an FDA EUA-approved molecular (PCR) SARS-CoV2 test, on a sample obtained 72 hours or less prior to arrival in Massachusetts. Serology tests will not be accepted.
Please inform your school nurse of travel plans to a higher-risk State and provide a copy of the COVID-19 test result before your child(ren) returns to school.
Complete the Massachusetts Travel Form before returning to MA from a higher-risk State. For more info: https://www.mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-travel-order
