What's happening in the Thompson Library: September 5-8
Library News
- We have 100% of our classes coming to the library this week. That is something to celebrate! Please try to come as often as possible. I understand you might need to take a week off every now and then, but classes should come AT LEAST every other week.
- We had 22 students turn in forms and participate in our summer reading celebration. Thank you to everyone who reminded and collected forms from your class. I appreciate your help on an already busy first week of school.
- Don't forget to sign up for library next week! We'll be going over story time expectations while honoring National Dot Day! Click the link below.

Chrombook/iPad Checkout
We have 3 Chromebook carts and 1 iPad cart available to be checked out for a week at a time from the library. Here's how you do it...
- Send me a notification that you'd like to borrow them. Go to www.thompsonlib.weebly.com and fill out the "teacher book/equipment request" under the "Teacher" tab. Bookmark this page to access it easily!
- I'll let you know if they're available or if you'll need to wait. If you need to wait, we can reserve them for as soon as they're available next!
- I'll create a week long appointment for both of our Outlook calendars so you know when they need to be returned. Remember, you only get them for a week at a time!

Tech Tip-Google Classroom
Our district is a Google Apps For Education district, so why not use all of the tools they provide for use. Google Classroom makes it easy to send information to students and receive assignments and comments back. When students turn work in on Google Classroom, it gets up on your drive making grading easy with it all in one place! Classrooms K-12 are utilizing this tool across the district, so reach out at meetings to see how they're doing it!
