Welcome Cliff Hetzel
GJPS New Chief Operating Officer
Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools is excited and proud to welcome Cliff Hetzel as the District’s new Chief Operating Officer (COO). His first day in the District is January 30.
As the COO for GJPS, Hetzel will oversee all operations efforts for the District. This includes construction, facilities, custodial, grounds, transportation, food service and technology.

In their newest safety video, Superintendent Dr. Tracey Deagle and Gahanna Division of Police Chief Jeff Spence offer reminders about remaining safe around crosswalks to both students and motorists.

Chapelfield Elementary
Students in Ms. Chen's Chinese Enrichment Program at Chapelfield Elementary recently celebrated the Lunar New Year with a dragon parade through the hallways. Chinese dragons represent power, strength and good luck and are a festive way to usher in the new year!
Jefferson Elementary
Students (and teachers) at Jefferson Elementary were looking a little older and 100 days smarter when they celebrated the 100th Day of School this week!

Phase Two Projects
Building Pride for Our Future
In November 2020, voters in the Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools district approved a bond and operating levy to fund Phase Two of the GJPS Master Facilities Plan.
Phase Two of the Master Facilities Plan Includes:
- Additions and renovations to High Point and Blacklick Elementary
- Additions and renovations to Middle School East
- New Lincoln High School on current site
BinaxNOW At-Home Rapid Test Kits Available for Symptomatic Students and Staff
BinaxNOW At-Home COVID-19 Rapid Test Kits are currently available for students and staff currently enrolled in GJPS schools who are EXHIBITING SYMPTOMS of COVID-19.
REQUEST FORM MUST BE COMPLETED IN ADVANCE
While supplies last, you may request kits for:
The number of students you have enrolled in Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools in your household who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
The number of GJPS staff in your household who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
A confirmation email will not be sent.
PLEASE WEAR A MASK WHEN PICKING UP A RAPID TEST AT THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING

After completing a Rapid Test Kit Request Form, kits are available for pick up at:
