No-Tax-Increase Ballot Propositions
The Park Hill Board of Education placed Proposition I and Proposition N on the April 5 ballot. Together, these questions mean no tax rate increase, and they would allow us to maintain the community's investment in our facilities and bring them up to date. They would also let us build a 12th elementary to help us move students out of classroom trailers and maintain class sizes. And they would help us maintain our high-quality school operations, including keeping our staff salaries competitive, so we can recruit and retain the best teachers and support staff.
You can find out more information on the district website, including specific ways the no-tax-increase ballot propositions will affect our school.

Kindergarten Kick-off
Children who turn five on or before July 31 are eligible for kindergarten for the 2022-2023 school year. If you have a child who will start kindergarten in Park Hill this August, we have a checklist for you to prepare for blast-off. If you have a neighbor with an incoming kindergarten student, please share this information. Beginning April 5, you can enroll your child in your assigned school. After you enroll, mark your calendar for the Kindergarten Kickoff event on May 5. Please check out our district website for more details.
March Counselor Lessons
We are finishing our Safety Lessons these two weeks before spring break. All students are learning about personal safety in an age-appropriate way. The lesson topics are ‘Always ask First’, which reinforces asking an adult before going anywhere and making sure their adults always know where they are. Your child is also learning that safe touches are positive and caring, and unsafe touches hurt your body, and how to say no assertively to unwanted touches, whether safe or unsafe. The last lesson covers “The Touching Rule” and it specifies that a bigger person should never touch a child’s private body parts except to keep him or her healthy. More details about these, and all counselor lessons can be found on the Park Hill Curriculum website. https://www.parkhill.k12.mo.us/families/elementary-curriculum/curriculum-counseling
