Band is a year long elective course where students will learn performance skills on a a musical instrument, how to read music proficiently, and understand the fundamentals of music theory. Two classes are typically offered and students will be placed according to their experience level. Instruments offered include Flute, Clarinet, Alto and Tenor Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone (Euphonium), Tuba, Bass (Electric and Upright), and percussion. Performance and travel opportunities may include concerts at various schools in our district as well as Sacramento Kings games and venues in Southern California.
