Classical Conversations Doylestown
Weekly Update - Week 16 - 2/2/16
Scripture for Meditation
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Opportunities to support members in our community
- The Burleigh family will be traveling to Ethiopia and is planning to provide new clothes to over 120 girls there who have no change of clothes. If you would like to make a donation, please see Kristin.
- Julia Jensen, one of our Challenge A students is planning to travel to England and is fundraising for her trip. She is offering to make custom artwork in exchange for financial support. Below is a sample of her work.
Standardized Testing
At Classical Conversations Testing Services, we believe that standardized testing is an important part of preparing students for college entrance exams, whether your state mandates testing or not. We take a very pragmatic attitude towards testing: The test results are not as important as the skill of test-taking, though achievement tests do provide parents with reliable data for evaluating progress in language and math skills. Each year, we offer local, on-site testing for grades 3–12 through our communities. We are looking for a homeschool parent from this community to coordinate testing this year. For more details, and to apply, visit www.cctestingservices.com.
We are looking for someone willing to step up to coordinate the testing for our community. for more details, please talk to Lynn Humphreys.

Help Needed for Morning Childcare
We could still use a regular second helper in the morning childcare. If you know of anyone who might be willing to help, please let Kristi Hart know.
