Brain Breaks

Children need to move their bodies in order to be able to stay focused and to learn. Normally, a small amount of movement, like a quick stretch and turn of the head, can help students refocus on learning.

There's a folder on the shared drive containing ideas for Brain Breaks. I strongly suggest you check it out! You never know what you might find! S:\RoseHaggar\!Brain Breaks

Principal Praise

Michelle Craig and Caroline Karl for organizing the Fire Prevention Poster contest. We had 74 entries! WOW!

Laurie Evans for decorating the display cases with the students' beautiful artwork.

Sandi Hill and Kiley Vera for the fall treats in the lounge and the festive decorations.

KAHOOT in Action!

The students in Lorie Lyon's reading/LA/SS class showed their knowledge of irregular plurals using Kahoot! The students worked in pairs to determine the correct plural spelling of words and then selected answers using a device. Such a fun, engaging, and meaningful way to assess students!
