Please make sure your child has earbuds/headphones in their pencil pouch. We use the chromebooks in class daily and they are a necessity. You can get them from the Dollar Store.

We finished up our lessons on multiplication this week and we are moving into division. We will still be reviewing multiplication here and there. Your child will be learning the standard algorithm for division (if they are ready for it). The Post-Assessment for Multiplication & Division will be Friday, October 9th.

English Language Arts (Reading)

This week we reviewed finding multiple main ideas in a selection and determining character traits and providing evidence. We also learned how to summarize fiction text using SWBST. Ask your child about it. Next week we will be working on finding the THEME of a selection.

Science-Force & Motion

Students are still working on our Force & Motion Unit. They have a Force and Motion Vocabulary Test on Tuesday, September 29th. A study guide was handed out and should be glued into your child's Science notebook. Students need to not only understand the definition, but be able to apply that knowledge through application and examples. I would suggest creating vocabulary flash cards with the word on the front and the definition and examples on the back to prepare.
