Staff Sparklight - Lisa Finder

This week, Kellison Elementary is excited to feature one of our special education teachers, Lisa Finder, in our Staff Sparklight.

Mrs. Finder grew up in Oakville and attended St. Francis of Assisi through eighth grade, moving on to high school at Oakville High School. After graduation, she went to Meramec, followed by Fontbonne. Mrs. Finder holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.

Mrs. Finder shared that her parents, Ed and Elaine, are the best people ever. She is the middle child and has an older sister, Amy, and a younger brother, Mike. Mrs. Finder and her husband, Tony, have two sweet boys, Lucas and Joshua.

Mrs. Finder is in her 11th year at Kellison.

A Little More About Mrs. Finder

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a pediatrician from the time I was eight, but then I went to observe a Speech Therapist and I just knew that was what I was meant to do.

What are you most proud of?

My boys and helping children

What are you good at?

Laughing, napping, being silly, cooking, and coaching sports

What makes you happy?

My kids (at home and at Kellison)

What is your favorite thing to do?

What is your favorite Kellison memory?

One time a student who had been making some bad choices told me, "You're like a germ. You're all over me all the time!"

Chili Cook-Off Champions

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Chili Cook-Off. We had 13 people make chili, and another 30 people bring salads, desserts, and side items. I truly enjoyed having everyone together for lunch and being able to share the fun with the Fenton Fire Department, too. Congratulations to our winners!

Best Chili - Dawn Cross

Best Salad - Connie Cozzolino

Best Dessert - Jenise Soyster
