New School Schedule Starts Monday, March 15!

You either have received, or will receive soon, your student's new schedule for next week. Keep checking your email inbox today and over the weekend for communications from your child's classroom teacher.

School hours starting Monday, March 15, are listed above. If your child is a REMOTE (on the computer) learner, your child's end time may be earlier. Check the email from your child's teacher for more information.

Also, if your child is REMOTE and has a NEW homeroom teacher, make sure you use the link that the new teacher has shared with you for school Monday morning.

Specials classes (music, art, PE, SEL, library, and Spanish (grades 4-6)) will be LIVE, for both remote and in-person students.

Why do some students have new homeroom teachers?

For each student to have the best educational experience possible, it was important for remote (on the computer) students to have a dedicated (remote only) remote teacher. One remote elementary teacher was chosen for each grade from both Lake Bluff and Atwater elementary schools. This means that some students needed to be assigned to new homeroom teachers.

Teachers have worked very hard to make sure students are still staying connected and that their move to a new class, if they are moving, goes smoothly.

Whether your child is remote or in person, they still remain a Lake Bluff student! ML aide Luz Svitak and I will STILL be your child's ML teachers, and we will continue to see your child after March 15 if your child receives ML support. Your child's curriculum will still be the same.

The first two weeks of all-day school will be spent helping students connect and get to know each other and their new routines.

Lunch

School lunch will be free (no cost) for the rest of the school year. If your child will be having a school lunch, they can tell their teacher in the morning. Please remember to send your child to school with a full water bottle.

Students in grades 5 and 6 MAY walk home to eat lunch if you choose. Please look at the emails you are receiving from your child's teacher for more information on that.

ML Support Schedule

If your child receives ML support from Ms. Conigliaro or Ms. Svitak, they will still receive this support in school after March 15. During that first week, we will be checking in with students and building new ML support schedules. You will receive information about their new ML support schedule when it is ready. Please contact Ms. Conigliaro if you have any questions!
