The 4th Nine Weeks is off to a great start! We're excited at all of the teaching and learning that is taking place and even more excited for the students to show us what they know in the coming weeks. Spring sports are going strong and fine arts programs are preparing for concerts. ACAP testing will start 2 weeks from Monday so let's continue working hard to get to that point!
All parents earlier this week were emailed a link to complete the K12 Insight survey for the TCS. Please take 10 minutes or less of your time to complete the survey to give us feedback about our school and system.
Report cards were sent home today. Course request cards for next school year will be sent home in the coming days.
Glee auditions will take place on March 28 after school. Please contact Mrs. Britford if you have questions.
ACAP Test dates can be found below. We do ask that you put the week of April 10-14 on your calendar as the main testing dates. We need all students to be present and focused for the assessment.
6th and 7th grade students: The application for the Experiential Solutions elective for next school year will be available in your Social Studies class beginning today. This application is due by Tuesday March 28. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Cherry.

Our current grade is an 86 but we strive to earn an A for this year. ACAP testing takes place after spring break but preparation takes place every day. Counselor Corner
Registration information for the 2023-2024 school year will be coming home soon. Mrs. Fox is currently going into 8th grade science classes to go over high school class choices, graduation requirements, and 4-year plan information with our students. More information to come!
Our current 6th and 7th graders will receive their registration cards by the end of the month, as well.

TCS is having a friendly competition with other schools in our district to donate items to Neighborhood Bridges. We have a box by the front door where you can place your donations. Neighborhood Bridges is an amazing organization that has helped us meet needs of students/families in our community. They are in need of gift cards, leggings, joggers/sweatpants, t-shirts, socks, etc. Please see the flyer for more details. If you have any questions about donations, please call me at 205-526-6981. The school that has the most donations will win a trophy! May the best school (NMS) win!!!
Daily Expectations
- We have a beautiful school building and want to make sure we take care of it in all that we do. Please remember that no food should be eaten except in the lunchroom unless there is a special situation. We need everyone, especially students, to do a better job of helping keep our school clean.
- No food or drink is allowed in the gym.
- Please throw any trash you have in a trash can.
- As you finish lunch, students should throw their trash in the cans and wipe down tables.
- Everywhere you go, you should leave your area cleaner than you found it.
