PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCE INFORMATION
Parent teacher conferences are usually held mid October. This year they will be held virtually on November 4th and 5th. I will send more information about sign ups and details as we get closer to the date, but wanted you to have that on your radar. During that week we also have staff professional development on November 2nd and 3rd, meaning all week teachers will be engaged in development or conferences. Therefore, on those days our in person students will not be coming to school AND our R7 online students will not be meeting with their teachers. Students will not be in attendance the entire first week of November-- NO SCHOOL NOV 2-6th.
FALL PARTY INFORMATION
Most SVE families know that each year, our amazing PTA sponsors one large Fall Party which all of our students may attend. The party involves lots of fun activities in our gym for each of our grade levels to enjoy at some point during the day. Unfortunately, at this time it is not possible to have such a large event or any volunteers in the building. Additionally, having a hybrid model of learning doesn't lend itself to a single day of celebration. Therefore, fall parties and activities will be at the discretion of each classroom teacher. Parties require many hands and lots of planning which not all teachers will have time to do. If teachers plan to have a fall celebration of some kind for their students, they will reach out to you directly to share their specific plans. We are currently partnering with PTA with some ideas! We are going to invite students wear their Halloween costumes on Friday, October 30th. We will have some rules and restrictions coming along with this fun addition, and those details will be shared soon. Simple version- no scary masks and no weapon accessories. Sometimes those things are what make the costume so great. So we appreciate everyone respecting this restriction, even if it means the costume doesn't feel complete. More to come on this!
LATE START WEDNESDAY!
Our first late start Wednesday is quickly approaching. On October 28th, school will begin exactly one hour after our typical start time. Doors will open at 9:45 for car riders. Dismissal times remain the same.

A few notes on protocols and health guidelines for LSR7
* Staff and students wear masks at all times unless we are taking a mask break while socially distanced.
* Students will hand wash and/or sanitize hands each time they leave and enter a new space. Ex: from classroom to art, from PE to recess, from classroom to lunch, etc. . .
* Classroom desks/tables will be sanitized each time students eat breakfast.
* Students will maintain consistent seating charts in classrooms, at lunch, in special class and students will have assigned line orders. These practices will help us should we need to contact trace.
* The schedule has been build with extra time in between recesses and special class so equipment and materials can be cleaned.
