Halo Notes

St. Louis Catholic High School

Thursday, November 8, 2018

Our grandparents are quite often some of the most influential people in our lives, and on Friday, students at St. Louis Catholic will honor them in a special way during our Grandparents Day program at 9 a.m.

Following a Service of Remembrance honoring our grandparents and military veterans, students will have the chance to show their grandparents around the school - many for the first time. In fact, Transitions Program freshman Loghan Robison can't wait to have her grandparents visit her since she frequently goes to visit them.

"I am so excited to show my grandparents around my new school. I know we're going to have fun. I can't wait to show them Mrs. France's classroom where my favorite thing to do is read books," Loghan said.

St. Louis Catholic and the Saints Parent Guild are eager to welcome our grandparents to campus tomorrow. The celebration begins at Krajicek Gym.

New Club Announcement

St. Louis Catholic is proud to announce the formation of the Danny Miller Rosary Club. Danny Miller was a 1979 Saints graduate who passed away earlier this year, but during the later years of his life, Danny spent his free time making rosaries for charities, family and friends. It is in that spirit that our Rosary Club will make and deliver rosaries to our community.

Please encourage your students to get involved in this spiritual growth opportunity. If they are interested in joining the Danny Miller Rosary Club, please have them contact Sister Maria.

Art Club Participates in Keys for Kids Service Project

Mrs. Robertson's Studio Art AP class volunteered a day of their time to paint a refurbished piano that will be donated to a local elementary school as part of Memorial Hospital’s “Keys For Kids." 22 painted pianos will be donated to schools after they are displayed in Memorial’s Atrium for the next few weeks. Mrs. Robertson is SO PROUD of her students!

FBLA Feeds the Hungry at Halloween

This year FBLA at St. Louis Catholic is dedicated to feeding the hungry for their community service project. On Halloween night, members partnered with the Graywood Homeowners' Association and collected canned goods during trick or treating hours, collecting a total of 154 items and donating them to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
