Cougar Team Update
From: Mrs. Boice, Mrs. Eisenhofer and Mrs. Lampe
4th Quarter, April 4-8th
Good afternoon,
4th Quarter is underway. Students have definitely gotten a case of spring fever, please help us to remind them that they are in the final stretch but we need their full focus in the classroom.
This week students have also received a great deal of information about MMS. There was a variety of paperwork that was sent home including scheduling, bus transportation and Spanish class. Please return these ASAP.
If you are going on the OBX trip, we need to have the Parent Contact form returned. Also, we are in need of prepackaged, individually wrapped snacks for the kids on the bus. Please send these snacks in with your student by April 15th.
Have a great weekend,
The Cougar Team
Language Arts
This week in ELA:
We have started reading the novel, "Serafina and the Black Cloak" this week. Students are working in literature circles and have specific jobs each week regarding the novel. **If your student misses a day of class they will need to keep up with their novel reading at home. The book is downloaded in Blackboard Learn.
This week students also received information about their biography book reports that are due in May. If you have not already, please return the parent signature form. This will be 25% of their 4th quarter ELA grade.
Next week we will continue with Serafina. We will also be starting to review the objectives that we have learned throughout the year in preparation for the final test.
Math

Students brought a letter home this week which discussed the science/social studies project they are working on. If you have not seen this letter, it can be found in your child's social studies unit "Pangea, what happened on Earth before your ancestors lived there?"
