Mountain Lion Minute
Week of January 4th
Mountain Lion Families,
This year proved to be extremely unique in a multitude of ways. We've asked our staff and students to teach and learn in ways that require more flexibility than ever before. We've asked you, our parents, to not only work your full time jobs, but to assist in the daily learning and instruction of your children along with providing childcare while our buildings were closed. The educational system has put a lot of stress on our school communities over the past 10 months. I cannot begin to thank you and our Mountain Lion staff enough for all that you have done and continue to do in supporting our students and Montgomery Elementary during this time. I am truly lucky to be part of such a special place.
As we turn our attention to 2021, we have the opportunity to continue to grow as a school community. We know that we'll continue to hit challenges along the way, but I believe we'll be stronger because of them. Our staff will continue to give it their best effort each and every day while delivering instruction in the most challenging of environments. Our students will continue to shine because that's who they are. I look forward to seeing all of their smiling faces when we return to the building on January 11th. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions and/or concerns. May you have a happy and healthy new year!

Home & School has partnered with The Giving Tree to offer Montgomery students three types of service project ‘kits’ aimed at battling food insecurity and homelessness in our community. Additionally, we will be holding clothing drives for two local charities: Dress for Success and The Wardrobe. These organizations provide men and women struggling with economic stability find employment by providing professional attire, support, and the confidence to succeed.
