Parents and guardians may register eligible children for kindergarten at any time, but the following dates have been designated as registration days in all elementary schools so that school staff will be prepared to assist parents and guardians with all necessary steps for registration:

PVES is NOW a GREEN SCHOOL
Congratulations PVES Students!
The Maryland Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education (MAEOE) is pleased to announce that Pleasant Valley Elementary has been certified as a 2017 Maryland Green School.
Maryland Green Schools are part of a national and international community of sustainable green schools. Our students are becoming better stewards of our Earth’s resources and developing a better understanding of their own local environment.
The Maryland Green Schools program encourages educational opportunities for preK-12 schools that increase awareness and understanding of environmental relationships that impact public health and the local community. The program is aligned with Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement 2014 goals and supports Maryland State Department of Education graduation requirements and standards.
Over the past two years, our school has demonstrated and documented a continuous effort to integrate sustainable environmental management practices, environmental education curriculum, professional development opportunities, and community engagement into our daily operations. This award signifies that our school has made a commitment to developing stewards of the earth and reducing the environmental impact of our school.
Mrs. Poling has been our project lead and she is doing an incredible job! To learn more about our process of becoming a green school, CLICK HERE!
The School Pantry at PVE ~ Wednesday, May 24th from 3:00 - 5:00
Our next Warrior Wednesday will be Wednesday, May 24th!
This month we will have plenty of excellent food, including some frozen goods! Please come with your bags and be prepared to SHOP!
We will also have Children in Need here again with school supplies, personal items and information about their services.
We did NOT send an RSVP this month because our pantry has grown in popularity! We simply order as much food as possible and make it ALL available! Remember, this is first come, first served.
This is non-income based and we hope you will take advantage. Not only can you get food for your family, but if you know of local families or churches that may needs support, please feel free to take a bag.
I LOVE how much of a difference this pantry has made in the lives of so many people!
