9th Annual Toss Your Turkey 5K
The Pottsgrove High School Cross-Country Team is once again sponsoring their 9th Annual Toss Your Turkey 5K Race on Thanksgiving morning. The Race starts and ends at Montgomery County Community College beginning at 8:30 am. This race has become one of the best local road races in the area. The race also supports the Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communities Meals and Shelter Programs, Operation Backpack Food Program for kids, The Pottstown Fire Police and The PG Cross Country Team. For the past 8 years, this race has donated in excess of $15,000.00 to those organizations as well as having served meals to those in need over the winter months.
Please come out and have a great run, support wonderful and worthwhile organizations in our community and begin your holiday celebration with a healthy start of the day.
Race forms may be completed and sent to Mr. Larry Rechtin c/o Pottsgrove High School via email at lrechtin@pgsd.org or ONLINE Registration through RunSignUp.com.

From the Nurse's Office
Greetings from the nurse’s office,
I would like to just take a few minutes to give you some important information and a few gentle reminders regarding seasonal illnesses and school-wide guidelines for the upcoming Fall/Winter season. Recently students have been sent home with a variety of illnesses, such as; fevers, vomiting, diarrhea, and sore throat. We also had one confirmed case of the flu. With this being said, we would like to remind parents/guardians if your student is being treated at home for any of the following symptoms we ask that you do not send the child to school that day and for 24-hours from the last episode of the symptom; fever, vomiting, and diarrhea. We also ask that you do not give them medication for fevers and send them to school. They must be fever-free for 24 hours to return to school. These are school-wide policies put into place to keep your children, and our staff safe and healthy throughout the school year.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Trump at rtrump@pgsd.org

Outdoor Recess
Please be mindful of dropping temperatures as we head into the winter months. Students will still go outside for their recess periods if the temperature or wind chill is above 20 degrees. Be sure to send your student to school with hats, coats, and gloves when appropriate.
If a student is not dressed appropriately for the weather conditions, they may be kept indoors for recess.
If you are in need of any winter hats or coats, please contact Mrs. Snyder, our school counselor.
