SRO Students of the Week
This week's SRO Students of the Week are Ryann and Vinnie!
"Ryann has been an amazing student to get to know this year. I have enjoyed getting to work with her on math and she is always focused and willing to try any new task that is sent her way. Ryann also has strong leadership skills and encourages her teammates to keep working and trying different solutions until the task is complete. In addition to being a great student in the classroom, Ryann has been one of the most caring and compassionate 6th graders I’ve met. Although she is sad that I have to be on medical leave right now, Ryann sends me daily emails with fun questions to answer and I’m pretty sure she doesn’t realize how her extra effort to reach out to me while I’m recovering has made my absence a little easier. Thank you Ryann for being an outstanding student in and out of the classroom. I appreciate you and think you are awesome!"
BONUS SRO Student of the Week: Vinnie!
"(Vinnie) is always kind and patient, has a smile on his face and thanks you for helping him. His smile lights up the room."
You're awesome, Vinnie!
Hats-Off Teacher Award Recipients
Her student Tristan writes, "Ms. Braun is always making sure we're on task, and she's really nice, too!"
Another Hats-Off Award! Today, it's Mr. Swanson, nominated by Elena!
"Mr. Swanson is always making learning fun and comes up with unique analogies that help people learn the proper way to play their instrument."
Congrats, and way to go, Mr. Swanson! Thanks, Elena!

TELEPHONES/CELL PHONES
Cell phones are not to be used by students inside the school during school hours from 8:35 to 3:55 pm without teacher permission. The school offices are open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday to receive phone calls. Students may use the office phone when necessary. Messages will be delivered to students as needed. As such, please assist us by NOT messaging or directly contacting your student during the day. Violation of this policy will result in a cell phone discipline plan for the student.
Cell phone disruptions and distractions are beginning to interfere with classroom instruction. Parents please be mindful of the above cell phone policy. If you need to contact your child during the school day, please contact the front office at 970-686-8200.
