TRAFFIC FLOW

We have had a few close calls with vehicles. Please make sure that you are following the traffic flow chart for pick-up and drop-off in order to keep everyone safe. The exit for Drop-Off/Pick-Up for the Main Building is through the gates on Houston St. ONLY. Please also share this information with anyone else picking up your child.

ALL SAINTS DAY-11/1

On Monday, November 1st, we will celebrate All Saints Day. Since this is a Holy Day of Obligation, we will be celebrating mass online. Students may come to school on this day dressed as their favorite saints. If choosing not to dress up, then students must be in their school mass uniforms.

Spelling Club

Mr. Kaczynski is excited to bring back Spelling Club for 4th-8th grade. Please see the sign-up form link below for more information about this club. Spacing is limited.

HANDBOOK UPDATE

Please note that we have 3 handbook updates:



  • With regards to religious medals, it is now specified that this means a religious pin.
  • With regards to lunch, it is now specified that all drinks must be non-carbonated.
  • With regards to school awards, is is now clarified which grades receive awards and the qualifications for the academic awards.

Title I Intervention Program

Title I is now up and running. Reading intervention is happening during the day and math will soon start after school. If you have any questions about the Title I program, please contact Mrs. Oexmann, loexmann@ascsfw.org.

Don't forget to send your child to school with a reusable water bottle!

Water fountains are off this school year due to COVID and your child is thirsty! Please send them to school with a water bottle, preferably a reusable one so we can be gentle on the environment.

School Safety Practices

Below is a reminder of the local school COVID practices we will have in place for this school year.



  1. Masks are now optional for all students & faculty/staff. If students are choosing to wear a mask, they must be solid navy, black, or white in color.
  2. When possible we will maintain 3 feet social distancing
  3. Water fountains will remain off for the school year. Reusable water bottles are highly encouraged.
  4. Our campus will continue to remain a closed campus for drop-off and pick-up
  5. All classrooms will have a medical grade HEPA air purifier running when students are in the classroom
  6. We will maintain a janitorial porter service to clean all restrooms and high-touch areas during the school day
  7. Our janitorial service will clean daily with medical grade disinfectant and electrostatic sprayers
  8. No virtual instruction will be offered

Do you want to volunteer this school year? Then you must be Virtus trained! Click on the link below to see how you can become Virtus trained. If you are a new volunteer the class you need to take is called "Protecting God's Children." The name of the renewal class is called "Keeping the Promise Alive for Adults." We are also working on getting both English and Spanish Virtus classes set up for August and September for our families.

If you need help signing up for a class online, please stop by the school office.
