There are many myths when it comes to jobs and which gender is better suited for it. Men and women both face difficulties when trying to find a job in a non-traditional career. Men are thought to be strong and non-nurturing while women are considered weak and not smart enough.
Myth- men who work in nontraditional careers are not masculine
- A male should not be judged on his masculinity based on his job
- You should consider a job based on you interest, skills, and satisfaction
- If you are good at something you shouldn't let it stop you just because it is nontraditional

Myth- men are not nurturing enough to work with small children
- This myth is leftover from when women stayed home to raise children and men went to work
- Nurturing is a matter of personality, not gender
- Not everyone is suited to work with small children but gender doesn't play a role in it
- Women and men have different personalities and some women aren't nurturing enough to work with small children, it's not just men
- If you are passionate about a certain job you shouldn't let a stereotype stop you
