11th. Veterans Day ( NO SCHOOL)

Dear Families,

Time is passing very quickly and we are only three weeks away before the trimester ends. Our students continue to be engaged in school and are learning to apply their knowledge. Our second- fifth grade teachers continue to learn strategies to support our students with National Urban Alliance. Thank you Dr. Rome for modeling and sharing your wisdom with our teachers and students on your visit.

This week we participated in the Great Shake Out Earthquake Drill. Our students did a wonderful of job of duck and covering and exiting the buildings and lining up on the playground. They are show Dolphins being responsible.

GRADE LEVEL HIGHLIGHTS

We also had our TK and Kinder students participate in learning about how to take care of their teeth this week. They shared their knowledge with the assistant and were eager to demonstrate how they brush their teeth with the stuffed animal during the presentation.

Our kindergartners are studying about plants and animals and we have seen them walking around looking at the different leaves and different trees we have on campus. Our third graders are also learning about plants and animals and have planted seeds to see which seeds will germinate.

Fifth graders created Punctuation light us up! By integrating STEAM and language arts lesson. They used circuit lights to create a light and then applied it to their Language Arts lesson on Punctuation! Way to go Ms. Momjian's class.

School has been very busy and we are now preparing for our Halloween Parade for the 31st of October. Parents will be able to come and see our Parade, but will need to sign in first at the office.

TK and Kinder classes parade will be at 1:10 pm on the big playground.

1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th parade will be at 1:45pm on the big playground.
