Maple Syrup Urine Disease

Maple Syrup Urine Disease (MSUD) is WAY worse than it sounds. It may just seem like your urine smells like maple syrup. NOPE! If you read the syptoms list later, which I'll do, you will walk away being thankful you don't have it. You'll also have a lot of new knowledge too! So, it affects your whole body.



Symptoms may include:

  • Sweet body and urine odor
  • Vomiting
  • Avoiding food
  • Failure thriving
  • Grasping reflex missing
  • Irregular or gaspy breathing
  • Stiffness
  • Abnormal body posture
  • Dangerously low blood sugar
  • Severe mental retardation
  • Dangerously abnormal bodily chemical reactions\

A: It's inherited. You get it from your parents.

A Diet powder.

A: Urine tests.

Q: Who does it affect?

A Everyone. But only 1 in 180,000 get it.

Mutation Benefits
