FIELD DAY

Good Afternoon,

Bridle Ridge's Physical Education department is excited to announce that Field Day 2016 will be on Wednesday May 18th.​ This is a fun filled day for students and staff. Mrs. Kelley is looking for volunteers that are willing to help out that day. There are three different time slot options available that include morning (8:45-11:45), afternoon (12:45-3:45), and all day (8:45-3:45). I will be out of the building on Thursday afternoon, May 5th for Admin Council.

Faculty Meeting

Our monthly faculty meeting will be held on May 11th at 7:29 in the library.

Retirement Reception

A retirement reception will be held for Mrs. Thulin and Mrs. Antonides on Wednesday, May 11th at 4:00 in our library. I hope everyone can plan to attend!

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS

May 20th- Early Dismissal at 1:10 p.m.


Teachers should plan to work in classrooms until 4:00 that day.

Last Day of School for Teachers is Monday, May 23rd

Deadline for entering grades by 8:00 a.m. on Monday, May 23rd!


Monday, May 23rd is a full contract work day for staff. Lunch will be provided at noon that day for all staff.

PANTHER PRIDE SUMMER CARE

The District's Panther Pride program provides before-school and after-school care for school age children in grades K-6. During the summer, Panther Pride offers Summer Camp for 11 weeks at Stonegate and Shull elementary schools. Panther Pride also offers care before and after Summer School at Stonegate, Shull, and Creekmoor elementary schools. For Summer Camp, full-time care is available for $100 per week. You may also enroll children for care three days a week, two days a week, or using an al a carte option to select particular weeks or days. Enrollment forms must be submitted by May 17th for student to begin care on May 23rd.

The Ray-Pec School District is seeking feedback from parents, patrons and staff. Responses to the survey will assist the District in measuring progress on the various Focus Areas in the District's Strategic Plan.

A link to the employee survey was recently emailed to District employees.


Superintendent Dr. Kari Monsees notes that continuous improvement is a key component of the District's Strategic Plan. Many of the goals in the plan require performance measurement, and the District will monitor a range of indicators, including such varied items as ACT scores, employee retention rates, and financial data.

Board approves bids for high school site work

Grading, pad preparation, and site utility work to begin soon

In preparation for construction of an addition to the south high school, the Board of Education on April 28, 2016, approved bids for site development work.

The Board approved a total bid of $1,523,066 from JA Lillig Excavating for the site package, which includes grading, pad preparation for the building additions, relocation and installation of site utilities, and construction of the west and north parking lots. JA Lillig was the low bidder of four submitted bids.

The site work is expected to begin soon after the end of the school year.

Feagins, Bruflat, Dr. Monsees


Allison Bruflat and Christi Feagins are the 2016 PTA Volunteers of the Year.



Bruflat is a member of the Raymore-Peculiar Public School Foundation Board of Directors. She is an active volunteer with the Caring About Nutrition (CAN) program. She has served the PTAs at Raymore Elementary, Bridle Ridge Intermediate, and Ray-Pec East Middle School.

Feagins is active with the PTA at Timber Creek Elementary and Eagle Glen Intermediate.

The Raymore-Peculiar Council of PTAs announced the winners at an April 21 reception to honor 18 finalists for the award. Other finalists for PTA Volunteer of the Year were: Joyce Noah, Stephanie Como, Laurie Bassett, David Cox, Angel Niswonger, Amber Bult, Jackie Boursheski, Christina Campbell, Kristi Patterson, Janet Calton, Jennifer Voliva, Ben Smith, Amy Benz, Sadie Decker, Holly Nall, and Michelle Houston.

Teacher Appreciation Week May 2nd-6th

Teacher Appreciation Week: Board of Education Providing Breakfast Thursday, May 5th from 7:45-8:15. PTA is providing a Cinco De'Mayo lunch on this day as well.


PTA is also planning some special treats on other days so enjoy the surprises!
