Alleluia, The Lord is Risen!
Happy Easter! Through Jesus' resurrection, we know we are saved and have life after death. As signs of Spring this year have brought us signs of hope, especially during this pandemic, we know God lead us through most difficult times. May this Easter Season bring your family peace and health, and be a reminder of God's Good News!
Mass Readings for Sunday, April 4: Easter Sunday The Resurrection of the Lord The Mass of Easter Day
In this weekend's Easter Gospel, we hear the story of Jesus' resurrection. His resurrection on Easter Sunday reminds us that we have been redeemed by Jesus, and given new life through Him. Because of that, we have hope for now and for the future, and we can share that hope with one another.
As Catholics, we celebrate that Jesus has risen. Because of that, we don’t have to fear the future. Our earthly bodies will pass away, but that’s not the end for us. We will gain Heaven and Eternal life, because of Jesus. That gives us Easter hope every day. He is risen indeed. Alleluia!

"What has happened to us in this country? If we study our own history, we find that we have always been ready to receive the unfortunate from other countries, and though this may seem a generous gesture on our part, we have profited a thousandfold by what they have brought us.”
― Eleanor Roosevelt, First Lady of the United States, 1933-1945

Sent on Mission to Light a Fire in the Heart of the Church
As Catholics, we must be people of prayer before anything else. Through prayer we can together achieve anything and advance the mission of the Kingdom of God right here in our Diocese of Metuchen. Please consider submitting a prayer intention by visiting https://diometuchen.org/prayer-intention.

An Easter Hallelujah
Cassandra Star (age 10) and her big sister Callahan (age 19) sing this beautiful & meaningful Easter version of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah. Using this traditional hymn, Cassandra and Callahan update the lyrics for a most powerful description of Jesus' death and resurrection.
