Principal's Message - Mrs. Christian

October flew by so quickly, and the Holiday Season is almost upon us! We have a lot of learning and activities planned for this month and next. Please be sure to check out the calendar at the bottom of this newsletter for important dates!

The Fall Festival was a great success! Thank you all for attending and supporting Garcia. I personally enjoyed having the opportunity to meet so many families. We raised enough money to begin purchasing some much needed books for our K-2 classrooms, as well as some math materials for K-5. There will be another fundraiser in the spring to raise funds for more math materials and classroom books for 3rd-5th grade.

Common Assessments are happening all over campus this week, and we are anxious to see what our students have learned, and what areas we need to work on to get them ready for the next grade level. Please help us by ensuring your student gets a good night's sleep each night. Encourage them to do their best, but NOT TO WORRY! These assessments are not intended to be negative in any way. They are a measure of growth and help teachers make a plan for the future. All we ask is for students to do their best.

Reports cards will be coming out next Thursday, November 18th. You can access your child's report card on Skyward. If you need any assistance, please call the school office, and we can help you access those.

As always, if there is anything I can do to support you and your students, please feel free to contact me. I wish you all a blessed Thanksgiving!

On behalf of our most precious gifts,

Courtney Christian
