At the AISD End of the Year Teacher Luncheon on Tuesday, May 29th Chick-Fil-A on Justin Road in Flower Mound made a special presentation. They presented free Chick-Fil-A for a year to Mr. Daniel Herdfeldt. Mr. Herdfeldt won this award by participating in a contest while playing in the annual Alex Betzhold Memorial Staff vs. Students Basketball Game. Mr. Kenny Arthur presented the award along with

Mrs. Brianna Simmons.


Mr. Herdfeldt, the recipient of the award was a student teacher at AHS in the fall and went on to work as a substitute at AHS in the spring. We want to congratulate Mr. Herdfeldt and say "Thank You" to Chick-Fil-A in Flower Mound for their special donation. We appreciate everything they do for our teachers!

AMS Student - Corbin Fanning had a wish come true!

AMS student Corbin Fanning is a big fan of YouTube sensation Casey Cooper. Casey is a well known drummer who Corbin admires. Through the Make a Wish Foundation - North Texas, Corbin's wish to meet Mr. Cooper came true. Last week Corbin was surprised by his family, band director, teachers, superintendent, principals, friends and AMS Band members. The Make a Wish Foundation - North Texas presented Corbin with a trip to Boston where he will meet drummer Casey Cooper.

AHS 2018 graduate - cale nanny was surprised with a special scholarship on Memorial day

AHS 2018 graduate Cale Nanny was surprised on Monday, May 28th with a $500 scholarship presented by the family of Coach Chuck Cotten. Coach Cotten left a legacy in Texas and his family wanted to keep his legacy alive by creating a scholarship in his name. For more information on the scholarship visit www.CoachCotton.org
