AG UPDATE
November Issue
Principal's Updates:
As I write this, a cold front has just started to blow in and it's about time. That was a long, hot summer and I'm definitely ready for Fall. I have really enjoyed seeing more and more students come back to campus and I am hopeful this trend will continue. Things are really starting to move on campus as we prepare for the FFA Benefit auction the first week of November and the Gerlach show will be here before you know it. Exciting times for our campus and I'm proud to be a part of it. It seems odd to be talking about next year when it feels as if this year hasn't even started yet, but here we are. Applications for the first ever class for the Agriculture Science & Technology Academy will be on-line on November 30th. All incoming freshmen will need to apply, regardless of their home campus. Incoming students will be informed in January if they were accepted. More information about this process will be coming in the next few weeks. For now, we are looking to start strong during this new grading period. Go Panthers!

JUNIOR CHAPTER CONDUCTING TEAM 1st PLACE 2019
This team should have been competing in the National Competition this week in Indianapolis, Indiana. The completion was cancelled due to COVID-19. This team placed 1st out of over 200 teams in Texas. We are very proud of them and wish them the best of luck this year.
Teams conduct a mock chapter meeting to demonstrate knowledge of basic parliamentary law and the use of correct parliamentary procedures. At the conclusion of the meeting, team members are asked questions regarding parliamentary law.
Counselor's Update: GET YOUR GRADES UP. ATTEND ALL YOUR CLASSES. IT COUNTS.
- Grades are important and something that we look at and monitor closely in the Ag program.
- Please make sure you are passing all of your classes. If your student fails this grading cycle they will be ineligible to show at the Gerlach stock show.
- GPA, class rank, and credits are all still being effected even if you are a virtual learner.
- Please do your best, and reach out to your teachers, administrators and myself if you are struggling and need assistance.
