Prayers for Sophia

Please pray for our preschooler Sophia who has recently been diagnosed with Burkitts Lymphoma. St. Joseph School would like to support her by having 2 fundraisers to help ease the financial burden as she receives treatments and starts the healing process. $2 PJ Day will be on Friday, May 24 and Family Movie Night on Friday, June 7 @ 6:30pm-8:30pm. See the signs in this newsletter for additional information regarding these fundraisers. Thank you in advance for your generous donations.

    SummerFest Raffle Tickets

    Update: MRS. SMOLEN-MEYER, MRS. JOHNSON & MRS. SHAMBAUGH's CLASS ARE CURRENTLY IN A 3-WAY TIE FOR THE LEAD. WE ARE EXTENDING THE DEADLINE FOR THE PIZZA PARTY UNTIL MAY 31


    The SummerFest Raffle is one of the most important fundraisers in our parish. The class with the most tickets sold by May 31st will win a PIZZA PARTY for their class. Please return the ticket stubs and cash to school and we will turn it into the rectory for you!!! Good Luck to all who participate! Please continue to sell the tickets past May 31.

    2019-2020 SJS Registration Continues

    We have opened up a spot for one more Kindergartner!!!


    Stop by the school office and pick up a registration packet! Our enrollment goal for 2019-2020 is 157! Please help us to achieve this goal spreading all the positive changes we have made this year with many more to come next year!


    We are grateful and excited to announce that 119 families have registered for the 2019-2020 school year. Thank you to all who signed-up for the 2019-2020 school year thus far! 20 of the 120 students are new to our school community. WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!

    Volunteer Hours

    Please continue to send in your hours to the main office on the pink card. We then use the pink card to credit your Facts account. If you are looking for ways to complete your hours please give us a call or send us an email. Please ask how you can help. :)


    Many of you have already completed your hours by coaching, working PTO events, being a room parent, painting, cleaning, etc. Thank you for your commitment to Catholic School Education. We appreciate you wholeheartedly.

    Box Tops for Education

    Please continue to collect box tops for education and give them to our librarian Mrs. O'Brien. We recently received a check for $44.00 for the last box tops handed in. Thank you so much and continue to save them, please.

    Counseling at St. Joseph School

    We are very excited to announce that SJS will now be partnered with Catholic Charities to provide counseling services and case management to our students. Teachers, parents, and administrators can refer a student to Mrs. Rybarczyk and she will contact Catholic Charities on their behalf. Counseling will be provided here at St. Joseph School once or twice a week. All counseling services are strictly confidential. Please do not delay in reaching out!     Legion of Mary

    The Purpose of the Junior Legion of Mary is to help its members grow in holiness by a regiment of prayer and works.

    Volunteer hours for the 2018-2019 School Year

    Please contact the main office to schedule your volunteer hours. If you want to volunteer in our school you must be Virtus trained. Please contact the main office with any questions.


    We are looking for a few parents to do playground duty during the school day from 11-11:30 or 11:30 -12:00. Please contact the main office if you would like to help.


    A total of 26 volunteer hours will be required for the 2018-2019 school year.
