Happy Friday Davis Families,
What a great week! A few highlights from the week include:
- the National Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony Wednesday night for 35 8th grade students
- the 4th Annual Fall Fest on Thursday night was awesome! What a fantastic event and opportunity to be together as a community for the first time in a long time. The weather finally cooperated and the afternoon was great. Students, families, and community members enjoyed games designed and carried out by our Student Council. There was food, music, Kona Ice, and tons of fun. Thank you to everyone that attended. Thanks to Dublin Taiko for performing, to PTO for running a sold out concession stand, and to all of our staff that helped out in any way and/or attended with their families. An extra special thank you to Mr. Snyder, Mr. Martin, Mr. Stagg, and Student Council for planning such a great event!
- our Irish Spotlight students were celebrated in their Irish Period classes today
- all 6th grade students received a Davis t-shirt today after completing their 1st quarter of middle school (they couldn't get them at the end of 5th grade due to Covid so we wanted to make sure they still got their Davis t-shirt!)
All of this was packed into a week full of learning! Next week we have fun and spirit planned for Red Ribbon/Spirit Week. I'm already looking forward to it!
I hope you all have a great weekend. Go Irish!
Jaime

Spirit Week - Red Ribbon Week
Thursday's theme is Halloween as this is the same day as Trick or Treat night. While students may wear their costumes to school, they may not wear masks that cover their entire face or have full face paint. Students must still wear their Covid face masks. Also, students should not bring any costume props to school (fake swords, toy guns, etc).
We are looking forward to a fun week of learning about the Red Ribbon campaign!

Chromebook/Tech Fee Information
Hi, Davis families! Thank you for your continued support with helping our students take care of their Chromebooks. Checking in with them to see if they are charging the Chromebooks every night and looking for operating system updates regularly can help ensure that the devices are working properly.
We also want to send out a reminder that there is a required annual tech fee that covers repairs to student Chromebooks in the event of accidental damage or malfunction. For more information about the annual tech fee and for the link to make the payment via PaySchools if you have not already done so, please go to https://sites.google.com/dublinschools.net/instructional-technology/home/parents-guardians/student-chromebook-11-program/11-technology-fee
Thank you so much for your assistance with our 1:1 Chromebook program!
Dublin Taiko Excitement
This summer, Adam Gilbert, drummer for the band Starset, called and asked if Dublin Taiko would be willing to collaborate and perform on a music video. Adam has a foundation/website called "DrumAbuse" that promotes students being creative, patient and accepting. He has posted this video there as well as on YouTube.
Many of the players in the video are former Davis students. Thanks to Mrs. Blair-Ewing for sharing. We hope that you enjoy it!
