Message From Mrs. Runnels
One moment that was very special to me was Wednesday, Mass Day. We had extreme weather that day with a tornado warning. Our teachers sprang into action following the drills that we practice. They had all students come to the downstairs hallway during the tornado warning. The most beautiful thing happened... Our amazing teachers and students starting singing some of the songs we sing for Mass. It was the most beautiful sound to my ears. My heart lept for joy as I wiped away happy tears. This is something that I pray our students will take with them for the rest of their lives. When you sing you pray twice, so when you're happy, sad, thankful, afraid, confident or worried, always say a prayer to God and He will give His peace.
Click the links below to hear their heavenly voices. I pray that it touches your heart as much as it did mine.

SACBS students singing If I Were A Butterfly
I will be away from school this week, as I will be chairing an accreditation visit for a school in Houston. Please contact the lead teachers: Mrs. Lawler (ECC), Mrs. Lavergne (1st-4th), or Mr. Baldwin (5th-8th) if you need anything. As we get ready for the brand new week and gift from God, let's follow the words of our patron St. Anthony of Padua, "Let your words teach and your actions speak."
God Bless,
Mrs. Runnels

7th Grade Baba Yaga
Seventh grade practiced analyzing and interpreting a dramatic reading of "Baba Yaga." The play, based on the Russian fairy tale “Vasilisa the Beautiful,” tells the story of a girl facing impossible tasks to escape a witch and bring light back to her home. Students learned about different cultural versions of the famous Cinderella story before acting out the Russian version as a class.
8th Grade Characterization Project
Eighth grade finished their character analysis projects on characters from "The Outsiders." Students worked in groups to analyze flat and round characters and create an eye-catching project.
