Native American Heritage Month
There is so much to celebrate during the month of November! November is Native American Heritage Month. This month provides an opportunity to celebrate the traditions, languages, and stories of Native American, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, and Island communities and ensure their rich histories and contributions continue to thrive within every generation. In 1990 Congress passed and President George H.W. Bush signed into law a joint resolution designating the month of November as the first National American Indian Heritage Month. Meadows is proud to recognize the many contributions of Native Americans. Please take a look at the resources below so you and your family can learn more about Native American Heritage Month.
