Principal's Perspective
Dear Horicon Elementary Families,
It’s hard to believe that we are at the end of the first quarter! We are so incredibly thankful for our wonderful staff, students, and families. We appreciate the flexibility, teamwork, and patience we have seen over the last two months. By working together we are able to help everyone be as successful as possible.
It was great that so many of you were able to participate in parent-teacher conferences. We truly appreciate the positive partnerships between the school and home. As the weather gets colder, please make sure your child has dressed appropriately for the weather.
Students and staff have taken the time to connect and learn from each other. Building positive relationships and finding each other’s gifts continue to be a focus at Horicon Elementary. Everyone has something positive to contribute and we appreciate these contributions to our school community. I encourage you to ask your child about their positive choices.
Please continue to encourage your child to read at home. Research shows that the more a child reads the better reader the child becomes. Ask your child what they are reading at school and what they plan to read next.
Thank you for your continued support of the students and staff of Horicon Elementary. I would like to wish you all a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving and a wonderful start to the holiday season!
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.
Sincerely,
Lisa Sawyer
