A Letter from the Assistant Principal
Dear Evansdale Community,
WOW! It has been an action packed first couple of months. The students and whole staff have been working very hard and I hope everyone enjoyed a nice Fall break. I want to thank the entire Evansdale community for welcoming me in and helping me get acclimated to everything. I've enjoyed getting to meet so many fantastic students and parents. This is such a great place to be working and I am looking forward to the rest of the year!
Regards,
Mr. Clayton

Reflections from an Evansdale Eagle Scout...
When I was a student at Evansdale Elementary School, I remember thinking that it would be nice if the playground had more benches for students to sit on. For my Eagle scout project, I chose to build benches for the playground because I wanted to give back to the school that I attended from pre-K through 5th grade. I discussed my proposal with the school principal, Mrs. Chattman, and she liked the idea very much. I got the approval to proceed from my troop leadership and district leadership, and built four benches with the help of my fellow scouts and a few adults. It took about 80 hours for us to complete the project. I spent a total of $265 on the project; this funding came from selling popcorn in the neighborhood.
