TES Principal's Update
Dear TES Families,
This year has presented challenges unlike any other, and yet we continue to feel your support as we seek ways to enhance the learning experience for all of our students. Our teachers are working tirelessly to ensure consistency within the grade level as it relates to the curriculum so that regardless of what changes or challenges come our way or which teacher your child has, we are able to address the same learning goals on the grade level and meet each student's individual needs.
Most recently, we were able to welcome our 2nd grade students back to school four days a week for in-person learning, and it is our intent to do the same for our 3rd grade students. While change can be difficult, and we have had to be creative in the use of our space, our students have adjusted well and are happy to be in school four days a week. We continue to make decisions with the best interest of our students in mind.
At the beginning of the year, we asked students to share their hopes. Students hoped to learn a lot, become a better typer, become a better writer, meet new friends, become fluent in their math facts, and become a better reader, to name a few. Our students wrote these hopes down so that they are not just thoughts but are something they can commit to achieve. Ask your child what their hope is, and let's work together to support our students in achieving their hopes and dreams.
While we may not be able to open our doors to our parents at this time, we have many exciting ways you can be involved in your child's school experience at TES! Below you will find many important announcements, events, and activities here at TES. We welcome your participation and appreciate all of the support you have, and continue to, provide us!
Sincerely,
Katie Lemerich
