Charles A. Upson

Halloween Spirit Week

Dear Parents/Legal Guardians:

In an effort to keep everyone’s health and overall safety at the forefront, Charles Upson Elementary School will have a “Halloween Spirit Week” October 25-29 in lieu of a Halloween parade. Each day, students will have the opportunity to dress in a theme and will receive a “treat” from the CU PTA on Friday.

Below is the schedule for the week:

  • Monday, October 25, Monster Mash Monday: Wear your mismatched clothes and/or fun socks
  • Tuesday, October 26, Team Up Tuesday: Wear your favorite sports team shirt, jersey or colors
  • Wednesday, October 27, Witch’s Hat Wednesday: Wear your favorite hat and a black shirt
  • Thursday, October 28, Candy Corn Day: Wear orange and yellow; There will be a candy corn guessing challenge
  • Friday, October 29, Happy “Hallow-read” and Pajama Day: Wear your favorite pajamas and read a book (pajamas must be appropriate for school and sneakers must be worn); “Treats” will be provided by the CU PTA

There are many opportunities within our community to “trunk or treat” and/or “trick or treat” in the upcoming days. You may want to explore these ideas as you see appropriate for your family.

We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we work together to keep everyone healthy and safe.
