Exciting and Engaging Things at the Middle and High School

6th Grade Project Adventure Day

Today was Project Adventure for our 6th grade students. Students learned how to work collaboratively as well as learn about the challenges people with disabilities may face. Student and teachers held debriefing conversations at the conclusion of each activity to talk about what makes groups successful, what are the challenges of working as a team, and the benefits of including everyone.

Sources of Strength

6 Teachers and around 25 students participated in Sources of Strength, a program designed to promote positive peer and adult connections, identify areas of positivity in students' lives and ultimately prevent suicide, bullying, and substance abuse. The project was led by representatives from the U of R and the experience was extremely positive. We look forward to continuing to build a positive culture and environment for our students.

Welcome Diane Kellogg

I'd like to welcome Diane Kellogg to the district. She has recently started with us as our Prevention Educator. Shared with Honeoye, she is in the building every other day. She has already made her presence felt here and we're excited to have her as part of the Bloomfield team.
