Notes from Administration

Dear Roberts and ECHS community,

In observance of Veterans Day, we will be adjusting the school schedule for this week.

  • We will offer regularly scheduled classes on Monday-Wednesday (8th-10th) including our late start on Wednesday.
  • Thursday, November 11th school building and offices will be closed in observance of Veterans Day.
  • Friday, November 12th there will be no school. Staff will be in buildings and offices will be open, but there will not be school for students.

For Roberts at Chemeketa students, you will have an opportunity to select classes for Trimesters 2 and 3 in advising on these days. Please make sure to arrive at school on time and check in with your advisor to select your courses and make a plan toward your completion of high school!

Enjoy your weekends and we will see you on Monday!

ECHS Student of the Month for October!

Daisy Alatorre-Perez is our October Student of the Month for Early College High School for many different reasons. Daisy is a committed, motivated learner. She holds herself to very high standards and continues to push herself to achieve academically. Daisy does not accept the words, “I can’t” or “I won’t”. She approaches each new day with positivity and grace. Daisy goes above and beyond in her assignments. Work done by Daisy is thorough, well-prepared, and well-done.

Another quality Daisy has is that she is a good at helping other students and is always friendly. Daisy may be quiet, but she is committed and contributes to classroom discussions and is always supportive of her peers. This comes partly from a strong sense of family and faith as well.

Daisy is a discreet leader who is all business when it comes to her academics. She does the work and then some! Daisy is a total team leader – one who leads by example, not just with all the rah rah. She has an interest in becoming an Accountant or Actuary in the future and is someone who ECHS is lucky to have.

Building 51's Coffee Shop is now OPEN!

After many months of hard work, coordination, and dreaming the cafe in Building 51 out at the Chemeketa campus is now open!

Our teachers Shawn Abbey and Cheryl Irish have worked alongside new and veteran students in the Business Entrepreneurship program to develop a menu, ordering system, and punch card to make the café safe, functional, and delicious!

All of the drinks pass our health and sugar regulations and are ready for purchase. You can buy a punch card through our Bookkeeper (Angela Quiroz) in the main office, or order your drinks at the café!
