Dolphin Parent Connection

November 2021 Volume 7, Issue 4

The Boosterthon was a huge success thanks to you. We raised over $40,000. The profits will be split between the PTA and school and will be used to fund the PTA budget, provide for instructional opportunities (such as virtual field trips and guest speakers), instructional materials, technology resources, replacement furniture, outdoor furniture and activities. The students seemed to have a blast this past Monday during the run. The weather was perfect, and we were thrilled to see so many family members show up to support their child. During this 7-day event, students also learned about what it means to have CURIOSITY, CONFIDENCE, HUMILITY, PRACTICE, & ENDURANCE through mini-documentaries that highlighted real kid-athletes from around the world. You can check out any of these character videos at Thank you again for all your support of the fundraiser and our school. We truly have the best school community.

Counselor Corner

During the month of November, students will build on their knowledge of the Zones of Regulation. Now that we know all about the four zones and are familiar with our face and body clues, students will learn about tools. Tools are strategies that help us to control our energy level and alertness. While we are at school, we use tools to stay in (or move into) the Green Zone, where we are calm, happy, focused, and ready to learn.

Please join me for our first Coffee with the Counselor Zoom meeting on Tuesday, November 16th at 9am. This quarter, we will be discussing self-regulation and ways for you to reinforce the Zones of Regulation at home. RSVP to for the Zoom link or for more information.

We are also beginning to prepare for the holiday season – if you or a family you know could benefit from some extra help this year, please contact me!

Tracking Your Student's Bus

Edulog Parent Portal lets parents see the time and location planned for school bus arrival at their child’s bus stop. The app also lets them view the location of the school bus to gauge arrival times each day and sends a push notification to their smartphone when the bus enters a user-defined geographic area around the stop. Parents only receive access by registering with data unique to their child. It’s all information to help parents feel secure about their child’s trip on the school bus!

ParentVue Accounts

ParentVue is the application that allows parents to access information regarding their child's attendance, course history, class schedule, grades, test history, and other important documents such as report cards. If you have not signed up for an account, go to

Parent Communication

The school division will continue to utilize the AlertNow messaging system to disseminate information at the division level. The specific email addresses and phone numbers that receive these messages from the AlertNow system are based on information we currently have in our Student Information System.

Additionally, Red Mill may occasionally send text messages via the AlertNow Messaging system with important reminders and transportation changes. In order to receive text messages, you have to Opt In. See below for directions on how to Opt In or Opt Out of text messages.

How do I know if I have Opted-in?
You can check if you are opted-in by texting “Y” or "YES" to 67587.

How do I opt-out?

You may opt-out at any time by texting “STOP” to 67587.

What if I opted-out but later decide I would like to opt-in again?
As long as your child’s school has your text-enabled phone number on record, you may request to begin receiving text messages by texting “Y” or "YES" to 67587. If the school does not have your text-enabled number on record, you will need to contact the school.
