*Camp starts on June 1st!
*JCPRD is closed Friday, July 3rd
*Your child will need a sack lunch Friday, June 19th, Wednesday, June 24th, Monday, June 29th, Wednesday, July 15th, Monday, July 20th due to FIELDTRIPS!
*Your child will need a sack lunch the last week of camp July 27th - 31st (the lunch program will be over)
*The last day of summer camp is Friday, July 31st
*JCPRD IS CLOSED AUGUST 3rd - 7th!

We go to the pool Tuesday and Thursday and Friday!
SeaLife Aquarium on Wednesday. We will eat lunch at Moonlight at 11:00 and return from SeaLife at approximately 4:30 pm.

We go to the pool Tuesday and Thursday
Minions Movie and Shawnee Mission Park 9:00 am - 3:30 pm. Bring a sack lunch!

Important Summer Camp Information
•We will be eating lunch at Moonlight Elementary School as part of the Summer Lunch Program. Lunch is at approximately 12:15 each day for free; we will leave Grand Star each day at 11:00 and return by 1:30 on School Days.
•We will also have snack each morning & afternoon in the classroom. You will need a sack lunch the whole last week of camp and on specified Field Trip Days.
•Door #12 on the South East side of the school (Between the middle school & Grand Star by the playground) will be unlocked for drop off and pick up. Approximately 7:00-8:30 and 4:30-6:00 each day.
•Pool Days Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every other Friday. We still leave at 11:00 am and return by 3:30 pm.
What your child needs by Day 1 of Summer Camp
*All Paperwork completed and turned in. Your child will not be able to attend until all paperwork is complete and turned in.
*A pool pass
*A bottle of sunscreen and a sunscreen face stick
*A backpack each day along with swimsuits and towel on pool days
JCPRD Policies
*All individuals authorized to pick up children must be listed in advance on the personal data sheet. Photo identification must also be presented by anyone unknown to the staff member working at the time. Do not be offended if even a parent is carded, it is for the child’s safety.
*If your child has a fever of 100 degrees or higher we send them home and they are not allowed to return to camp for a full 24 hours! NO exceptions!
*Fees are due EVERY Friday, they will be automatically deducted from the account you have on file. These fees begin on Friday, May 29th. Friday, July 3rd payment will deduct Monday, July 6th.
*Our daily hours are Monday-Friday from 7:00 am – 6:00 pm. There will be a $1.00 per minute late fee assessed to those who are late. This will be strictly enforced, as we ALL have busy summer schedules! You may also not drop off before 7:00 am.
*CALL US IF YOUR CHILD WILL BE ABSENT! LEAVE A MESSAGE.
*You MUST walk your child in EVERY morning and sign them in and out each day! NO exceptions or excuses! It is a requirement by the Health Department and JCPRD that the children are timed in and out by the parents every AM & PM. It is also a requirement that they are never unsupervised so you must walk them in and we can not send them to you at pick up.
*Toys, video games, I-Pods, Cell Phones, ect are prohibited. The program is not responsible for loss, theft, or breakage of personal belongings.
*Dress Appropriately. We are active and on the go throughout the day. Tennis Shoes are the most appropriate foot wear and sometimes we will get dirty!! Also your child needs to wear their camp t-shirt on fieldtrip days.
